We are so excited to be participating again with Sketch Tuesday!
The assignment for this week is Something from the Laundry Room. Our Laundry Room is a corner of our basement, which, post Hurricane Irene and the several drenching downpours since, is a bit damp and musty. Grace scrinched her nose at the idea of sketching anything down there, and decided to bring something up to the kitchen table to instead. I was delighted to see that she sketched in the shadow! Even if it’s not quite a mirror image…
I’m hoping to start participating myself soon! Why don’t you?
You can’t do sketches enough.
Sketch everything and keep your curiosity fresh.

When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college – that my job was to teach people how to draw.
She stared back at me, incredulous, and said, ‘You mean they forget?’

By drawing, man has extended his ability to see and comprehend what he sees.

Whew! I was afraid Grace would sketch all the socks that somehow end up under the kitchen table! Great job, Gracie!
I had no idea there was a Sketch Tuesday thing. Where do you find the assignments at? Sounds like a lot of fun.
I love the Tide picture. 😀 Great job!
